Okay, here we go!
Those kissy scenes are hard to write sometimes, but I love reading one
when it's crafted so well it feels like I'm standing beside the characters,
watching with inflamed cheeks as sparks fly between the two lovebirds.
Please share one of your favorite kissing scenes from a book you've read, from your own WiP, make one up, or write about one of your own memorable kisses. Then hop around to feel how sweet, romantic, or downright steamy other characters are getting smooched!

FUN! I am all for it! Can't wait!
This sounds fun, I love kissing scenes!
Between this and the No-Kiss Blogfest today, there is a lot of kissing going on!
I love me some heat, baby. Bring on the wet hot friction! ; )
Leigh: Yay! I can't wait either :)
AE: Kissing scenes are awesome!
Alex: I know right? I hadn't seen the no-kissing blogfest until yesterday and I had already had this post scheduled. Yeah, I giggled for a while.
Emily: Lol. I'm not sure how to respond to that without sounding pervish :)
Oh I LOVE me a good kissing scene :) Sounds like Emily does too!
Yay! Your verification is turned off :)
O yippie!!! :)
I signed up last year for a Valentines Day kissing hop. It was a lot of fun, but I'm sad to say that particular scene went away in a subsequent rewrite. I tried and tried to keep at least a part of it, but it didn't work anymore. So sad.
Sooooo excited, thanks Cassie!
Like I told Hope. I've realized I'm a little bit of a prude when it comes to kissing scenes. Yes, I like them, but I would never beg someone to send one to me. But I am excited to read all of them and post one of my own. Not sure which one I will post though.
Thanks ladies for the great blog hop!!
I know just the scene I am going to use. Thanks for visiting me, but I got to join your followers first! LOL. Roland
I'm in - very exciting :)
Lx
Angie: Oh good! So happy you're hoppin' along :)
Kelley: Yipee!!!!
Donna: I hate when that happens, but like it at the same time. Always save them though in a file. Mine's titled. "Casualties"
Hope: Yay! This was a great idea missy :)
Jenny: You are?? Lol. I can think of one you can post. :)
Roland: I could've sworn I followed you! Stupid blogger, lol.
Laura: Yay! Can't wait!
Hi Cassie Mae. I'm just dropping in from Alex's blog, and am now your newest follower, so:
Nice to meet you!
Hahahaha!!!! I love it! Waaaaay fun, Cass ;)
Okay. So many awesome bloggers are joining this. It's making me want to get involved even more. It's just a fun Feb idea. Hard to resist.
Still thinking on it.
Happy New Year! :)
Matthew: Hi! And congrats on reaching 1000. Dude! I can't even fathom it! (That's how you say that, right?)
Morgan: Yay! It'll be super fun :)
David: Resistance is futile. :) I've got a whole month to convince ya, lol.
Yum, I love kissing scenes! Just read several juicy ones in Cassandra Clare's Clockwork Prince. Swoony. I'm in!!
Sounds fun! Great idea girls :)
So, I'm not a total prude, but I don't go all week in the knees for kissing scenes. I think if they are done right then they can be a great part of a story. BUT, there is so much more to a relationship. Oh, and I think I know which kissing scene you're talking about. But, I was thinking about writing a new one with Avery and Joshua. Just a thought.
Cortney: I haven't read that one yet :( But funny story, I was mistaken for her once. My real name is Cassandra Cook and when I was talking to someone who knew me by that and they asked what I did, and I said I was a writer. They like totally went off on The City of Ashes and how much they loved it and stuff. I said, 'uh, ya, I haven't read that one, but it sounds great! I think I will.' they looked at me like they didn't know if I was joking or not, lol.
Crystal: Thanks!
Jenny: Very true. I think what leads up to a kiss is far more important. Otherwise it's just two people makin' out. Lol
New follower here! This is such a fun idea for a hop. Can't wait to read the entries.:)
I tend not to write kissing scenes. Not really much call for it in post-apocalyptica.
Well...maybe just the once...but you're a few chapters away from what you've already read...
I am IN!
Katie: yay! nice to meet you!
Joshua: Um, I think I actually emailed you a response, but I can't remember. Lol.
Ali: Ooh! Super excited you're joining!
Another fun one - I signed up and am looking for a scene!
I'm going to enjoy reading these posts and writing my own! Wonderful idea!
Lara: This will be super fun! Way way excited for it!
Jenna: Me too! I love me a good kissin' scene :)
I won't be able to participate, but I'll do a shout-out for your blogfest in Monday's Ninja News.
Great idea!
I'm in! This should be fun and hot!
Hi! New followered. I clicked over from David's blog. This sounds like great fun. Thanks for hosting the blogfest.
Thanks everyone for joining and spreading the word! I'm getting all crazy excited!
From a new follower, I am very excited for this event! I already have a scene in mind from one of my books. Great idea! :)
Popping over from Alex's blog! Fun blogfest. New follower!
So want to do this, but don't want to crowd out Angie's deluxe steamy scene! :) I'm thinking of starting a separate blog just so I can participate. If I do, I'll jump on board the love train! :) Awesome blog fests! You've got your hands full in February!
All right, I'm going to try this...can't promise anything, but I'll try...
seriously excited for this!
I'm so in, and I already know what scene I'm going to use.
Hi Cassie!
I tried signing up a couple of times, but I'm either doing something wrong or I've been blacklisted :-) Help. Please.
Kissing scenes . . .um, I'm terrible at writing them, but I'll give it a try.
Cassie, This is great. I have a WIP I've been playing around with in my head and this is just the motivation I need to finish it. Love your site.
I have a couple of questions...
1.-is there a word limit?
2.-is it judged on hot and steamy or best written/most interesting?
I have one kiss scene in my WIP, but it isn't the 'typical' knee buckling kiss....and I feel the need to go back a couple of paragraphs to really lay out the scene leading up to the kiss. Or do you just want the paragraph or two of just the kiss and nothing else? :) -sorry to be the difficult one.
I'd love to do this, but I'm currently writing my first draft and won't be ready in time for this. Maybe I can use a scene from the book I'm querying. I think there's one I didn't use for a kissing blogfest last year.
Oh, I love kissing scnenes, and this will give me change to really polish a kissing scene from my current WiP.
You might want to have a word count limit on this. If an entry is too long, people are less tempted to read it. I hosted on last year, which was a big success partly because of this (we had a 250 word limit). No one has time to visit a lot of blogs if they have to read long posts.
Oh my heart, this sounds SO fun!!
I hope mine is up to par. You don't know what I had to go through to "get over it". I took "lessons" from a screenwriter who was a sex-chat addict... oh... ugh... I forgot I'm in polite company... ugh... Hello, nice to meet you. I'm your new stalker - no! (get my foot out of my mouth) - I mean I'm following you. I found you through Rach Writes by clicking on so many links til your blog showed up and looked like fun.
Cool, I just signed up! And am now following you :-)
Sounds like fun. I look forward to it.
Um, hi Cassie. So, I've signed up for this, like four times in the last week. I can't make it work. I'm sorry. . .Help? (Again.)
Your contents are too simple to read and easy to understand.
